New EP “Tear it Down” coming soon!

Well, it’s been a while! The band has been fairly dormant these past two years with Chuck and Dave staying super busy with their theater gigs. But last fall, we decided to launch into a recording project since live shows were so hard to schedule. What we’ve come up with is a 4 song EP that’s a little under 30 minutes in length. The title track is our longest, and probably heaviest song to date! Chuck has added some new sonic elements to his arsenal, and Tom has laid down stacks of vocals on every song. Greg pummels the kit as usual, and the “new guy” Dave brings the fire on guitar. We have a rough mix of the opening track, so it shouldn’t be too long before we’re ready to unleash this upon the masses!

Nomadic Horizon 2021

As previously announced, Nomadic Horizon has parted ways with founding guitarist and writer Eric Gulbransen. It is an unfortunate situation, but we are happy to announce that we have found a new guitarist. Please welcome to the band Dave Saenger! We’ve known Dave for years, and along with his outstanding playing skills, he’s an all around great guy with a positive attitude and lots of great ideas. Like Chuck, he has done, and continues to do extensive theater work. He is dying to hit the stage and play some original rock, as we all are! Rehearsals are underway, getting several songs from our current releases together, and fine tuning some as-yet unrecorded tracks. We also hope to bring in some of Dave’s song ideas ASAP. The band is very psyched and unified as we move into the future. We hope to see you soon!

Lineup Change

Hello Nomadic Horizon friends and fans. We regret to announce that the band have parted ways with founding guitarist and writer Eric Gulbransen. This was a difficult decision, and his uniqueness will be missed. Greg, Chuck, and Tom will be continuing with a new lineup TBD. We hope everybody has come out of this pandemic intact, and we look forward to seeing all of you again soon.

How’s everyone doing?

Just wanted to drop a note to say we hope everyone is getting through these strange and unprecedented times as best as they can. Our hearts go out to those who are suffering illness, loss of loved ones, loss of income, and all the stress that goes with it. It’s a bit of a cliche at this point, but we truly are all in this together, and we will certainly continue to survive. We miss the stage, our friends and fans, and even each other (LOL!) at this point, and we hope to reconvene sooner than later to bring you the glorious noise known as Nomadic Horizon!

New year, new decade

Following our run of summer and fall shows in support of “Crushing Time”, we took the holidays off, but we’re ready to get back out there to bring you more music! We’ve just confirmed February 14th at Brauer House in Lombard, IL. Joining us this time will be progressive instrumental band Sons of Ra who will be playing songs from their latest release “Cognitive Dissonance” as well as their earlier material. What better thing to do on Valentine’s Day than to catch a prog show? 😉
